Terms of use

Triluma may only be used for its intended purpose and within the scope of the services enabled for you. Access codes, recovery codes and login data must be kept confidential and must not be shared without authorisation or misused.

Triluma’s AI-supported functions provide psychosocial orientation, conversational support, reflection and everyday assistance. Triluma does not replace medical, psychotherapeutic, legal or other professional advice and is not an emergency or crisis service.

Use to create, store, transmit or distribute unlawful, harmful, dangerous or abusive content is prohibited. Triluma may block or restrict access where misuse, a security risk or a breach of this information is apparent.

Information on the use of AI

Triluma uses AI-supported conversational systems to process input in the protected chat area and provide responses, reflection questions, guidance and information about suitable Triluma services.

The AI systems are virtual conversational systems, not real people. They can help structure, reflect and orient, but they may make mistakes, misunderstand content or provide incomplete answers. Please therefore check important information yourself and consult an appropriately qualified professional regarding health, legal, financial or safety-related questions.

The AI does not send emails to customers, make appointments independently, initiate payments or take independent action towards customers or third parties.

Important details you should know.

* Free use through your employer

You can use Triluma vCompanions, vCoaches, vTrainers and Guides free of charge under an agreement between your employer and TRILUMA. First-degree relatives included in the service can also use it at no personal cost. You need a personal access code from your employer to log in.

** Paid use through your employer

Under an agreement between your employer and TRILUMA, you can use Triluma rCoaches and personal advice from the TRILUMA team at a reduced rate. Registration requires coordination with your employer and a separate usage code provided by your employer. Alternatively, you can book this service privately at favourable rates.

1) Information on vCoaches, vTrainers and Guides

vCompanions, vCoaches, vTrainers and Guides are specially trained AI-supported conversational systems. vCompanions are chat partners for everyday situations. vCoaches help you work through stressful situations, conflicts or decisions. vTrainers practise specific skills with you in clearly structured training situations. Guides help you classify your concern and find the right vCoach or vTrainer. These systems do not replace psychotherapy as a healthcare treatment or medical care. Diagnoses, prescriptions and medical decisions remain the exclusive responsibility of doctors and licensed psychotherapists.

2) Virtual systems and real advisers

Our vCompanions, vCoaches, vTrainers and Guides are virtual conversational personalities, not real people. They are based on defined role profiles, Triluma rules and psychologically informed conversation principles. If you prefer to speak with a person, you can arrange conversations with advisers from the TRILUMA team where covered by the agreement.

3) Professional and scientific framework

The content of the Triluma systems is guided by recognised psychological principles, established coaching approaches and the current model and system version in use. This framework is reviewed regularly and, where possible, adapted to current research, proven practice and experience. Please note that scientific knowledge continues to develop and AI-supported systems can make errors despite careful configuration.

4) Security of your personal chat

The recovery code for your chat history is used solely to retrieve previous conversations. It is not the same as the access key provided by your employer for Triluma services. Keep both codes separate and confidential and do not pass them to third parties.

5) Protection of your information

Chat input is processed by the system and automatically checked for personal information. Where technically possible, personal information is masked or stored in pseudonymised form. Access codes, recovery codes and any telephone numbers used for bookings or verification are not stored in plain text, but processed as hash values. This allows them to be used for technical checks without the original plain text being readily recoverable from the stored value.

6) Not an emergency or crisis service

Triluma vCompanions, vCoaches, vTrainers, Guides and advice from the TRILUMA team are not emergency or crisis services. In an acute crisis, with suicidal thoughts or immediate danger to yourself or others, contact the medical emergency service, call 112 or go to a nearby psychiatric clinic immediately. In Germany, you can also reach TelefonSeelsorge on 0800 111 0 111 or 0800 111 0 222. In Austria, telephone counselling is available on 142. In Switzerland, Die Dargebotene Hand is available on 143.

7) Confidentiality and limits

Your information is treated as confidential. Reports to your employer are provided only in aggregated statistical form within the contractual arrangements. If an immediate danger is apparent in an individual case, further steps may be necessary to protect the person concerned. Details are set out in our privacy policy.

8) User responsibilities

AI-supported systems can make errors, present incomplete information or assess situations incorrectly. The information and conversation content provided is for general orientation and does not replace medical, psychotherapeutic, legal, tax or other professional advice. Please check important information yourself and consult an appropriately qualified professional for health, legal, financial or safety-related questions. Liability for ordinary negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
